Home School Partnership

There are several times during the school year when we formally invite parents into school to discuss the work and progress of their child:.

  • Parents are invited to meet with the class teacher each term to discuss their child’s progress
  • At the end of the Autumn and Spring term a summary report is sent to parents/carers
  • A written report is given at the end of the academic year detailing your child’s attainment, achievements and progress and parents are offered the opportunity to discuss this with the class teacher.

We encourage children to extend their own learning by undertaking homework on a regular basis.  Information regarding homework is shared on class pages.  Homework is encouraged for all ages of learners, differing in the amount and focus depending on the age of the child.  Children are encouraged to transfer newly developed knowledge and skills in order to tackle mini projects whilst also practising reading, writing, maths and multiplication tables.
