Playlist
Hear hear! Have you every wondered how your ear works? or how sound travels? Listen up! In this topic we use music to explore vibrations and sound, from Beethoven to The Beatles we go on a musical journey to learn all about sound.

Burps, Bottoms and Bile
This one gets a little gruesome! In this topic we identify the different types of teeth and their functions, including how these vary from animal to animal and animal to human. We explore the body parts associated with the digestive system, such as mouth, tongue, teeth, oesophagus, stomach and intestine and describe their special functions. We compare and contrast the digestive system of a herbivore with a carnivore, using knowledge of human digestive system and we explore foods to keep us healthy.

Water of Life
Water gives life! In this topic we explore the water cycle and understand its importance. We delve into The Great Barrier Reef to look at how tourism impacts the wildlife of the area and we also explore the life cycles of a number of creatures.

Traders and Invaders
When did the Anglo Saxons and Vikings invade Britain? What was the impact on Britain? What impact did Alfred the Great have on Britain? How do we know about life in the ‘dark ages’? What was crime and punishment like at the time? Find out the answers to these questions in this gruesome topic!

Potions
In this Science based topic we explore the states of matter through freezing, heating, mixing and cooling! We investigate how solids, liquids and gases behave and react. Through narrative and poems we explore how magical potions make for great stories!

I Am Warrior!
In this exciting topic we have lots of fun being transported back in time to discover why the Romans were so desperate to invade Britain and how the Celts and Boudicca resisted them. We enjoy experiencing life as a rich Roman during our end of topic banquet. We sample a Roman feast and dress up in Roman costumes for an immersive experience!
