Creepy crawlies are a must in this topic! We will describe the life cycles of insects and amphibians and compare the differences between them. We will organise and sort using diagrams and classification keys. 

Wonderful Wombourne

We explore our beautiful village in this topic, thinking about local amenities, land use, housing, population and how the village has changed over time. 

Scream Machine

In this topic we learn about different forces and how they effect the world around us every day. We investigate and prove the existence of the different forces by planning our own investigations and explore how mechanisms including levers, pulleys and gears allow a smaller force to have a greater effect. 

Pharaohs

In this topic we explore the achievements of one of the earliest known civilisations and how this has impacted life today. We explore the pyramids, Egyptian society, the uses of the River Nile and much more... 

Stargazers

What are the order of the planets? How long does the Earth take to complete an orbit around the sun? What is a moon? How long is does Earth take to rotate on its axis? Why does a moon orbit a planet? How is day and night formed?
Why do we have seasons? ALL WILL BE REVEALED when we explore everything to do with our solar system in this exciting topic.

What does it take to be a Tudor? We explore the lives of Tudor's such as Henry VIII and William Shakespeare. No gruesome details are overlooked, including a study of the blood-sports revered at the time!
