Children can start in our Reception Classes from the September following their fourth birthday.  Children are invited to an induction session during the summer term before they start school.

We use the Little Wandle phonics programme to teach phonics, as well as the Little Wandle reading schemes.

We are all wonderful! In this topic we celebrate our fabulous individuality, as well as all the wonderful things we have in common as we get to know our friends in class. 

We love to be outside thinking about what you can feel, hear, see, smell and touch. We have a fantastic forest school to explore in this topic and lots of bugs to find! 

Not all Superheroes wear capes! In this topic we explore people who help us such as police officers, nurses, doctors and crossing patrol. We also think about our own special talents and abilities and celebrate our individuality and strengths. 

All aboard! Join us on our journey from tractors to planes, ships to trains - where in the world will we end up? 

Life on the farm can be tough - we find out about all the jobs that need to be done down on the farm and we explore the animals that might live there too. We get to ask farmers lots of questions all about their day - we're tired just thinking about it! 

How wonderful it is to celebrate! In this topic we share our own celebrations and family traditions and learn about Diwali and Christmas. We listen to music to express our feelings and we also reflect upon Remembrance Day.
