Mental Health Support
We have a dedicated and experienced learning mentor who works across school to support families. Alongside teaching and support staff, Ms Boswell is able to use her expertise to support children's mental health and well-being to enable them to feel happy and safe in school.
The world health organisation defines mental health as 'A state of well-being in which he/she realises his/her own potential, can cope with every day stresses of normal life, can work productively and can make a contribution to his/her community.' At Westfield we value taking care of our mental health and have a number of supportive strategies to help this. Read our Mental health day newsletter to find out some of the things we do in school.
